New England Challenge II

May 12, 13 & 14, 2023 - Vermont, New Hampshire & Maine

All races are USATF sanctioned, and the full marathons are USATF certified.

All races begin at 6AM with BIB pick up on the day of the race at 5:30AM.

Maple Leaf Marathon - 05/12/2023

Lake Morey

Course Information:

Half Marathon: 2 full laps + 1.52559 miles out and back

Full Marathon: 5 full laps + .5663 miles out and back

One full lap is 5.092911 miles

There will be two aid stations on the course. The main one at the start/finish line with hydration and nourishment and secondary at the mid-way point with hydration

Course Notes: A scenic loop around Lake Morey on the main road. Please run on the side of the road and yield to traffic.

Course Information:

Half Marathon: 2 full laps + 1.6 miles out and back

Full Marathon: 5 full laps + 1.4 miles out and back

One Full Lap is 4.96 miles.

There will be two aid stations on the course. The main one at the start/finish line with hydration and nourishment and secondary at the mid-way point with hydration

Course Notes: This race runs along the very scenic Nashua River. It is also a qualifier marathon for the Abbott World Marathon Majors Age Group World Rankings.

Pine Tree Marathon - 05/14/2023

Back Cove Park

Portland, Maine

Course Information:

Half Marathon: 3 full laps + 2.24 miles out and back

Full Marathon: 7 full laps + .86 miles out and back

One Full Lap is 3.62 miles.

There will be one aid station on the course at the finish line with hydration and nourishment.

Course Notes: There is only one path around Back Cove Lake, so it is fairly easy to navigate around for each loop.
